GOT MILK POURS
hladinka-synt-mliko
what do these three word mean and how should these styles be poured?
Foam also known as head to many bier lovers is one of the attributes that separates bier from any other liquid on this planet. Foam is one of the most intriguing characteristics of a bier and to highlight its significance a well known Czech Republic Brewery created three different types of pours Hladinka, Snyt and Mliko. Read more on these three styles of pours below.
HLADINKA- is a regular pour with three fingers of foam on top. That thick dense head gives the bier a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness while sealing in freshness and flavor. It's not as filling as a large bier, but more refreshing than a small bier. By pouring it this way, all the aromatics in bier are sealed under the blanket of foam. The foam also keeps the bier refreshing for a longer period of time so that it can be enjoyed throughout a meal.
How to pour Hladinka: Make a 45° angle and start by creating a thick foam at the bottom of a glass and then fully open the side-pull faucet. Keep pouring the bier under the level of foam right until the glass is full.
SYNT-(pronounced Shhnit), is typically for the tapsters only as this is the beer they pour at the start of their shift to make sure everything is running smoothly. It is a small pour with lots of extra foam. The Snyt is a popular compromise between having one, and not having one. Foam is denser keeping the bier fresher a longer period of time and can be enjoyed with a larger meal.
How to pour Synt: As always, make a 45° angle between tap and the glass. Slowly open the faucet and draw a nice, thick and dense foam. After the foam reaches just over 2/3rds of a glass, open the faucet fully to draw the bier. Synt pour has two parts of bier and three parts of foam.
MLIKO- (Milk) is a pour which is mostly all foam and usually consumed in one drink right after being poured. The consistency is a bit thicker giving it a creamy almost milk like quality. Sweet, creamy goodness that you will love to chug with friends and family alike. It’s a special style of serving for the true connoisseurs because it’s just bier foam. Very smooth and pleasant on your palate. The Mliko tastes like an absolute dessert and therefore it is often had after a large meal. Our Dark Lager served Mliko is chocolate milk in a glass!
How to pour Mliko: To start, slightly pull the tap and create just a foam made of bier. Fill it all the way up to the top and enjoy.
